Veronica Cavazos Veronica Cavazos was born and raised on the Texas/Mexico border in Laredo, TX. She attended The University of Texas in Austin and graduated in May of 2001 with a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film and a B.A. in Mexican American Studies. While at UT, Veronica completed a short piece titled Alterlatino: The Beginnings of Rock en Espanol in Austin, TX that screened at the CineSol Film Festival in the summer of 2000. Ms. Cavazos worked as a videographer for the Independent Media Center in Philadelphia and her footage appeared in an activist video titled Public Weapon. This piece highlights the behavior and attitudes of law enforcement officials in reaction to recent anti-globalization protests. Ms. Cavazos Co-produced a segment on the Virgen de Guadalupe (Episode Three) in Visiones, a bold and exciting PBS series about Latino art and culture in the United States. |
